Trying to tape my nephew's latest drawing to the fridge took me 45 minutes

Honestly, I thought it would be a 10 second job. Walk over, grab the tape, stick it up. But then I couldn't find the tape dispenser, so I used a ripped off piece of a sticky note. That fell off after 2 minutes. Then I tried a magnet, but the drawing wrinkled under it. After 5 different failed attempts with tape and magnets, I finally just used 3 of those chunky alphabet magnets from the set we've had since 2019. Has anyone else found a foolproof way to keep a 5 year old's paper art flat on the fridge?

Oh man, I feel your pain on a deep level. My best friend told me she spent a whole morning trying to get her kid's construction paper snowflake to stay up, and it kept curling at the edges. She ended up using washi tape, the kind that's a little stretchy, and then a few of those clear pushpins she had lying around. That snowflake stayed flat for like two weeks until it got replaced by a crayon drawing of a weird-looking dog. It's a whole system, you know?

Forty five minutes for a fridge drawing, sounds about right. Next time just save yourself the headache and use two strips of duct tape on the back, it'll outlast the drawing itself. At this rate we should just start laminating the kid's art and magnetizing the whole sheet.
