I was dead set against leftover soup mashups until I tried it last Tuesday

Always thought mixing two different soups was just asking for trouble, like ruining both. But I had half a container of tomato basil from 3 days ago and some leftover lentil soup from the night before. Threw them together with a splash of milk and it was honestly the best lunch I've had in weeks. Anyone else got a weird soup combine that actually worked?

henderson.mila says "just let the two soups do their thing together" like that's not a disaster waiting to happen. I tried throwing chili and butternut squash soup together once because I was broke and desperate, and it came out tasting like someone burned a pumpkin in a mud puddle. The textures fought each other, the spices clashed, and I ended up tossing the whole bowl after three bites. Sometimes separate soups are separate for a reason, you know?

Did you add any seasoning or just let the two soups do their thing together?
