Why I never trust my brother's gadget reviews after the tablet fiasco
My brother raved about this new tablet, saying it was great for watching movies together. We bought it based on his word, and it froze every time we tried to use it as a family. I mean, maybe it's just me, but I think relatives give bad advice on gadgets because they want to share the cool stuff. It showed me that honest reviews come from people who don't care about your feelings. So, idk, maybe we should all stop listening to family when it comes to tech.

Family reviews skip the bad stuff to be nice.

Yeah that drives me nuts too. It's why I never fully trust a five-star review from someone with the same last name. They're trying to be kind, but it makes the whole review system useless for the rest of us. You end up buying something or going somewhere based on praise that left out all the real problems. Makes it so much harder to find what's actually good.

Totally true about skipping the bad stuff. Makes the review worthless when you're actually trying to decide if something sucks or not lol.
