Lost $60 on a fake moss lawn gnome with a purple hat
I bought this gnome from a roadside stand in rural Ohio because the hand painted purple hat looked unique. After one rain shower the paint ran badly and the moss was just glued on construction paper. Has anyone else gotten burned by those craft fair gnome sellers?

Man, that's a bummer. A buddy of mine bought a "handcrafted" wooden birdhouse at a flea market and the whole thing fell apart the first time it got wet. I guess some of those roadside sellers are just in it for a quick buck with no quality behind it.
