Question about the trend to skip attic vapor barriers

I keep seeing teams skip vapor barriers to save time, but every callback for moisture damage proves it's a bad idea. How do you handle this on your projects?

Using vapor barriers has always stopped moisture damage on my jobs.

What kind of climate are you usually working in? I've seen them cause more problems than they solve in some places.

Lot of contractors slap them in without checking the wall assembly first. Gotta match the barrier to your specific moisture drive, or you're asking for trouble.
