The court reporter who fixed my filing before I made it worse
Three months back in Peoria, I was about to submit a property dispute form with the wrong case number stamped on it. The clerk leaned over the counter, pointed at line 7, and said, 'That mistake will get you bounced to a different docket entirely.' She handed me a fresh copy and showed me the exact spot where the county codes go. Has anyone else had a clerk save them from a procedural headache like that?
