My neighbor laughed for a solid 30 seconds when I showed him the edited version on my phone last Tuesday, and now I'm wondering if I should redo the 'This Is Fine' meme but with my dog sitting in a pile of shredded pillows.

Dog memes are a serious business, obviously. Let's not act like your neighbor's 30 seconds of laughter is Oscar-worthy validation for a whole new meme. Maybe just let sleeping dogs lie before you start a whole pillow-shredding series.
