Why I don't bend to neighbor pressure on my shop hours
I see a lot of mechanics online saying we should always keep quiet for the neighbors. I think that's not fair. Last week, I was working on a clutch job past 7 PM, and my neighbor came over yelling. My shop is in my garage, and I need to get bikes done on time. Sometimes that means running tools after dinner. I'm not being rude, I'm just doing my job, lmao. We should stand our ground on reasonable work hours.
Think about it from the neighbor's side. Noise past 7pm can ruin someone's quiet time or sleep. Maybe the yelling was too much, but the complaint might be valid.
