PSA: Stop putting sweaters on short haired dogs that are too thick for their body shape

I was at the dog park in Brooklyn last Saturday and saw a pit bull mix in this heavy knit sweater that was clearly way too bulky. The poor thing was walking weird and kept tripping over its own front legs. I asked the owner about it and she said she got it online based on neck size only. Turns out a lot of people don't think about chest depth or leg length when shopping for dog clothes. My own dog had a similar issue with a costume last Halloween where the arm holes were too far back. Has anyone else noticed this with pet clothes or am I just being picky?

Makes me wonder if these companies even test their clothes on actual dogs before selling them.
