Why does every photo of my dog look like a crime scene blur

I took my golden retriever to the dog park near my apartment complex last Saturday. Every single picture I snapped made her look like a fuzzy ghost or a stretchy demon with 3 legs. I thought maybe my phone camera was broken but nope, it's just her moving at lightning speed the second I hit the button. Has anyone else had a pet that turns into a complete blur monster the moment you try to capture a cute moment? I'm about to give up and just hire a professional photographer at this rate.

Oh man, the "stretchy demon with 3 legs" part got me good because my cat does the exact same thing where her body looks like it's melting sideways in every shot. I have about 47 photos of what I swear is a normal cat but they all look like an abstract painting of a blob with ears. Professional photographer is honestly not a bad idea, I've seen people at the dog park who literally just follow their dogs around with real cameras and the results are unreal.
