Most folks insist on fold-away furniture, but my standard armchair is what makes my tiny house feel like home.

My buddy turned his closet into a reading nook with a giant beanbag chair. It takes up half the space, but he says it's the only spot where he can truly unwind after work. He's got a stack of comic books piled next to it, and a lame poster of his favorite band taped to the wall. Makes the whole place smell like old paper and memories. He refuses to get a folding chair instead, calls it his 'mental health anchor'. Sometimes comfort just wins over practicality, you know?

That closet nook is basically a shrine to bad decisions and good naps. In my experience, giant beanbags are like relationship bunkers, you sink in and forget the outside world exists. Your mileage may vary, but half a closet for a mental health anchor seems like a fair trade. The old paper smell probably adds to the charm, or at least covers up any mold from lack of airflow. Take this with a grain of salt, but I'd choose a beanbag over a folding chair any day if it means actually relaxing. Comfort winning over practicality is how we survive jobs that suck the soul out of us.

My closet holds winter coats and guest blankets, so sacrificing half for a beanbag isn't smart. Honestly, a padded bench by the window gives similar comfort without wasting storage. Comfort matters, but running out of space causes more stress in the long run.
