My coworker's 'ergonomic' stool modification involved three cushions and a yoga ball

He claimed it improved his stitching speed, but we spent more time fishing him off the floor. Sometimes simplicity wins in the workshop.

Christ, what a disaster. Did your coworker ever explain why he thought stacking cushions on a yoga ball was a solid plan? I mean, @michaelg19's keyboard tray collapse is one thing, but this setup sounds like a deliberate experiment in gravity. It reminds me of those standing desk converters that wobble so much you spill coffee everywhere. How many times did he actually crash before someone hid the yoga ball?

Tried a balance board once, @the_eric. My dignity hasn't recovered.

Your ergonomic stool saga beats our keyboard tray collapse last week.

My friend Leo invested in one of those balance board chairs last year. It tipped over during a Zoom call and he took his entire dual monitor setup down with him. The whole department heard the crash through his unmuted microphone. That kind of chaos makes a simple tray collapse seem pretty tame, doesn't it?

After hearing about that ergonomic stool saga, I used to think all that gear was overrated. But seeing a keyboard tray collapse and a yoga ball stack fail? It definitely changed my perspective on office safety.
