Certification programs are booming, yet some top makers learned on their own

I see more shops asking for paper credentials, but the slickest fix I know was done by a guy with no classes, so are we valuing diplomas over actual skill now?

Sounds about right. My dishwasher still runs because of a neighbor with a youtube history, not a framed certificate.
