My city's push for heat pumps is making service calls way different

Yeah we had that same rule last year. I broke it into four weekend chunks, found a local community college running the course. Honestly getting it done in one go was less painful than dragging it out.

Client brought in a picture of her dog for a haircut reference

I always thought it wasn't possible but my cousin proved me wrong last week.

Botched a dishwasher motor replacement and now it hums

That fear is so real after a screw-up. @clairem81 knows the pain of redoing everything. What helps me is testing the connection gently before pushing it all the way. Maybe use a tool to feel for that solid click without overdoing it. It saves time later since loose wires mean redoing the job. After a few tries, you'll trust yourself more and work faster.

Air fryers are the only way to get my brother to eat anything green.

Totally agree with this, and it's something I see all the time with tech and gadgets. People get hooked on the newest thing, like air fryers, but forget that the basic idea (roasting with hot air) is what does the work. It's like how everyone bought fancy cameras but still took blurry photos because they didn't learn about light or composition. The tool can help, for sure, but without knowing the method, it's just a shiny box. Same with kitchen gadgets, where a good knife and some practice often beat a dozen single-use appliances. So yeah, the roasting method is key, not the machine itself.

For years, I skipped the drywall lift, and my back still hurts from it.

Ever get that shoulder cramp where it locks up near your neck? I was mudding a ceiling corner once and my arm just quit. Had to stand there like a statue until it stopped twitching.
