inVent: We had a stubborn core shift on a big gear pattern that was scrapping every other pour. A guy from the old Pittsburgh plant told me to try a thin coat of graphite wash on the drag side of the cope. It worked.
Honestly, that old plant guy wisdom is the best. Tbh my first move would have been to just hit it with a hammer.
