Am I the only one who just realized the Rugrats theme song is about the parents, not the babies?
I was humming the Rugrats theme while washing dishes two nights ago and actually listened to the words for once. It goes on about how they are always there to help and guide and protect, and I sat there with soap on my hands thinking wait, this is from the grown ups' point of view the whole time. I have been singing this thing since I was like 7 years old and never once caught that. Also somehow took me this long to notice the theme is basically a lullaby about trying your best as a parent, which is weird for a show about toddlers running wild. Did anyone else figure this out way later than they should have, or am I just slow?
