I rewatched Recess after 20 years and the animation switch in season 3 looks like a different show
I popped in my old Recess tapes over the weekend and something felt off around the third season. The lines got sharper, the colors got flat, and suddenly the kids' faces looked like paper cutouts instead of the soft rounded look from season 1. Turns out they moved production to a different studio around 1999, and you can see it in every single episode after that. TJ's whole face shape changed, and Spinelli's hair went from wavy to basically a solid blob. I brought it up to my brother and he said I was making stuff up, but then he watched two episodes back to back and went quiet. Did anyone else notice the shift when it first aired, or did it only bug me because I watched the old ones so many times?
