Realized I've been watching Power Rangers wrong my whole life after a comic con panel

I went to a small comic con in Portland last month and sat in on a panel about 90s action shows. Some guy who used to work on the show started talking about fight choreography and how they had to hide the zord transitions. Turns out there were all these hidden jokes and continuity errors I never noticed as a kid. Like when they morph, the camera angles actually hide the actor swaps in specific ways. He pointed out a scene in season 2 where you can see a crew member's hand adjusting a prop. I went home and rewatched a few episodes on YouTube and felt like I was seeing them for the first time. Has anyone else had an experience like that where someone pointed out something obvious about a show you loved as a kid?

My buddy rewound a VHS tape so many times he found a reflection of the camera crew in a window.

Your buddy finding the camera crew in the reflection" is actually a good example of what I don't like about this. I get that it's cool to spot those mistakes, but for me it kind of ruins the magic. When I was a kid watching Power Rangers, I wasn't looking for continuity errors or crew hands. I was just there for the fun, you know? Like, the whole point of the morphing sequence was to make me feel like I was watching something real, not to notice a camera trick. I guess I'd rather keep that childhood wonder than go back and pick it apart now.
