Rugrats vs. Hey Arnold! rewatch as an adult, one aged way better
So I finally got my kids to sit down and watch some of my old favorites with me. We started with Rugrats and honestly, it was rougher than I remembered. The babies' voices got grating after like 2 episodes and some of the humor just felt flat. Then we tried Hey Arnold! and I was shocked at how much I still loved it. The characters have actual depth, Helga's poems still hit, and the city setting feels real. Even my 8 year old asked to keep watching that one. Did anyone else have a 90s show that totally flipped for them on a rewatch? Which ones hold up better than you thought?
