Can we talk about the nap room at the Phoenix airport? Someone needs to say this
I was killing a 3 hour layover at Sky Harbor last Tuesday and ducked into one of those pay-by-the-hour nap pods in Terminal 4. The pod itself was fine, but the alarm inside only goes up to what felt like 45 minutes max, and I had set my phone for 90. Half the people in there were passed out way past the limit because the front desk doesn't wake you. If you're banking on that pod to time your nap right, set your own alarm too. Has anyone else used these and figured out a better way to keep it to 20 minutes?
That bit about the front desk not waking you is the real problem, in my experience. I've seen folks sleep right through their boarding time in those pods, and nobody bats an eye. So yeah, set your own alarm and maybe put it across the pod so you have to get up to turn it off, your mileage may vary but that trick works for me.
