My doctor said to keep my naps under 20 minutes and I owe her an apology
I rolled my eyes when my doctor in Boise said to set an alarm for 20 minutes max, because I figured longer naps meant more rest. For two months I was doing 90 minute naps on the couch with a heavy quilt and waking up groggy and irritable every single time. Then I tried her way, just 18 minutes with a light throw blanket and my phone alarm on the armrest, and I popped up feeling clear instead of foggy. Now I want to know if anyone else had to hear it from a doctor before believing it, or did you figure out the short nap thing on your own?
