Shoutout to the nurse at my clinic who told me a 22 minute nap beats a 40 minute one
I always thought longer naps were better, so I was doing 45 minutes every day after my shift and waking up groggy and mad at the world. Last Tuesday I was getting my flu shot in Phoenix and mentioned how rough my afternoons were, and the nurse said she switched to 22 minutes with a kitchen timer and never looked back. I tried it Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday. Three days in a row I woke up before my alarm even went off and actually felt like a person again. Turns out staying in that light sleep zone is the whole trick. Anyone else notice a huge difference between a 20 minute snooze and a 40 minute one, or is it just me?
