Oh man, I did the same thing but with a cheap NAS and spent a whole weekend naming folders like a librarian. Now I just dump everything in one big pile and hope for the best when I want to watch something.

Small shop signings are where it's at, no question. There's a little comic place near me that got a mid-list author last spring, maybe 15 of us showed up, and she stayed almost two hours just chatting. Best part was the shop owner grilled burgers out back after and we all just hung out. Compare that to the con where I stood in a line that wrapped around the hall. Way more fun for way less money.

Give it a couple weeks before you decide if you hate it. The first few days are rough because you keep fixing mistakes and it feels slower than just typing. But you learn the quirks of whatever app you're using, like saying "period" out loud or "new line" instead of just pausing. I use it for longer stuff now, emails and meeting notes mostly, and my thumbs are way happier. Short texts I still type by hand cause voice gets weird with names and numbers.
