My training data got corrupted right before a big demo in Austin

The model started outputting pure gibberish, so I had to rebuild the dataset from a 3-day-old backup on the spot. Has anyone else had to recover a project that fast?

Been there with the corrupted data right before a client pitch, it's the worst. Having a rolling backup script saved my skin that day, even if it was a few hours old. You gotta automate those snapshots because manual saves always fail when you need them most. Rebuilding under that kind of pressure is a special kind of hell, lol.

Oh man, tell me about it. I once tried to be clever and set up a manual backup system, then immediately forgot to run it for like three months. The one time I needed it, I just had a folder full of my own disappointment. Automation is the only thing that saves me from myself, honestly. That pressure to rebuild is the universe's way of telling you to stop being lazy and write the script.
