Started using an AI tool to sort my dad's 4,000 scanned family photos and now I'm weirdly emotional about it
My dad mailed me a hard drive back in March with about 4,000 scanned family photos on it, all in random folders with names like "scan001" and "IMG_2231." I let it sit for two months because I couldn't face sorting it by hand, then a friend at work showed me an AI photo tool that groups faces and rough dates automatically. Took it about 90 minutes to do what would've taken me a whole weekend, and it even flagged a batch from 1998 that had my grandma in it, who passed in 2011. Now I'm sitting here at 11pm fixing its mistakes and finding pics I forgot existed. Has anyone else used AI for old photo cleanup, and did yours mess up faces as much as mine does with my cousins?

Yes! Mine keeps tagging my uncle as my dad, so annoying.
