This week I tried to air fry 3 different store-brand frozen pizzas and every single one came out a soggy mess

I mean I know frozen pizza is never gonna be gourmet but Ive been on a kick trying to save money by buying the cheap store brand ones from Aldi for like $2.50 each. I figured the air fryer would crisp up the crust like it does for everything else. But nope every single one this week turned out floppy and the cheese slid right off the top. I tried preheating at 400 for 5 minutes like the internet said and still just sad wet cardboard. Maybe it's just me but I feel like the air fryer fan blows the toppings around or something before they set. Has anyone had any luck actually getting a cheap frozen pizza to work in one of these things?

Oh man, I've been down that exact road. The trick I figured out is you gotta par-cook the crust first. Stick that frozen pizza in the air fryer at 350 for like 4-5 minutes just to get the bottom started, then crank it up to 400 for the last few minutes. Also try poking a few holes in the crust with a fork before you start, helps steam escape so it doesnt get all soggy. Your mileage may vary but thats what finally worked for me with those Aldi ones.
