Just saw a student mechanic from the tech college fix a flap motor all on their own
They were practicing on a trainer at the small airport here and got it working perfectly. It's so cool to see the next generation picking things up!

Honestly, always double-check the torque specs on those flap motors.

Double-checking torque specs is such a key point. What makes it so easy to mess up in the first place? I've seen guys skip it because the manual says one thing but field conditions change everything. Is there a certain model or situation where the specs are way off from what you'd expect? It feels like a small step but it can cause huge issues if it's wrong. Really want to know what you've run into that made it a hard rule for you.

Ever have a factory spec strip threads in the field? That's what happened to me on a linkage bolt, and now I check every time.
