Rant: a ramper at DFW told me my torque stripe was basically decoration
Was grabbing a coffee at DFW last Tuesday and a ramp guy named Marcus pointed at the stripe on my nose gear bolt and said "that just tells me you can run a paint pen." I laughed it off at first, but he's not wrong that I'd been checking stripes instead of actually re-checking torque on the daily. Now I'm second guessing how many of my sign-offs leaned on red paint and eyeballs. How do you all handle torque checks, stripe only or do you keep a wrench in the loop?
