Totally get where @henryf53 is coming from, but once I had to swap out a dead HDMI port and the velcro mess turned into a 20 minute wrestling match. Spent one afternoon doing the cable raceway thing and now it takes me two minutes to pull the TV off the wall. Worth it the first time I had to move stuff around.

That "stuck like glue" part hit home. I bought a cheap silicone mat years ago for cookies, not macarons. First batch of chocolate chips came out with flat bottoms that looked like someone pressed them with a shoe. Then I tried using it to roll out fondant and it left weird ridges in everything. Now it just sits in the back of my cabinet holding my rolling pin still. I figure if the fancy ones work they're worth it, but my trust level is zero after that. Parchment never did me dirty like this.

Yeah but was it actually sealed right? A lot of those "climate controlled" units just have a vapor barrier on the ground, not the walls. Did you check if moisture was wicking up from the concrete slab itself?
