Showerthought: is a 30 second delay on entry doors actually a good idea or just lazy?
Last week I was at a house on Maple St in Dayton and the homeowner, Dave, asked me to set his entry delay to 45 seconds because he's slow with the code. I told him the standard 30 is already pushing it, but he said his old system gave him a full minute and he never had a problem. Now I'm stuck wondering if we're too strict on this or if Dave is just asking for a break in. Where do you all set your entry delays?
