Walked through a new build in Airdrie and noticed every house has the exact same front door color

I went to check out that new neighborhood off Yankee Valley last weekend and I swear every single house had that same dark grey door with white trim. Like did the builder just buy in bulk or what? It made the whole street feel kinda copy paste. Has anyone else noticed this trend in Calgary area developments or is it just me?

DUDE YES! I was out in Chestermere last month at some new builds and it was the SAME thing. Every single door was that muddy grey color, like the builder found a deal on a massive pallet and just went for it. I counted like 15 houses in a row, all identical. It's wild how they don't even give you an option to pick something different, not even a black or a navy blue. For the money they're charging you'd think they'd at least let you pick a door color off a chart. But yeah, I just painted my buddy's door a dark red last summer for under 50 bucks and it took us like 4 hours total. Easy fix.

Hang on a second, is this really something to get worked up about? I get it, it looks a bit boring seeing the same door color on every house. But people are out here buying a house for like 700 grand plus and the front door is what's gonna make or break it for them? I walked past a block in new development out in Langdon and most of them had the same grey door too. Bigger stuff to stress about like the actual build quality and the flooring inside. Besides, you can just paint the door yourself for like 30 bucks and a Saturday afternoon.
