My swamp cooler drain line kept clogging, now I flush it monthly with vinegar
I used to just let the drain line sit all spring until it backed up and soaked my garage floor, that happened twice in 2021. Then my buddy who flips houses over in Rio Rancho told me to pour a cup of white vinegar down the line every 30 days during cooling season. Honestly it takes like 2 minutes with a funnel and I set a reminder on my phone. It also cut down on that musty smell I always blamed on the humidity. Has anyone else dealt with algae building up inside the pan, or is it just my older unit?
