Spent $160 on a parking spot rental without checking the fine print first

Man, that 9pm close is ridiculous. Who parks for work and gets home before nine? That's basically a daytime lot pretending to be for residents. And the $38 night fee feels like a trap, not a service. Street parking might mean dealing with the street sweeper, but at least you're not paying to get locked out. I'd rather move my car at 7am than give those app folks another dime.

Powder vs liquid hardener, changed my mind after 12 years

That 2,400 square foot slab is about what we pour on most of our commercial jobs, so that got my attention. But here's what I'm wondering: how did you handle the mix timing with the powder? Because the thing that always scares me off is the window you get before it starts pulling moisture out of the surface, especially if the crew is slow or the sun pops out. Did you have to change your finishing schedule at all, or did it just work with the same rhythm as your liquid? Also, was that warehouse slab a power trowel finish or a broom finish, cause I got a feeling that makes a big difference on how the powder beds in.

Went from foam pitcher to plain cup and noticed a huge difference

and honestly that makes so much sense to me. I did the same thing a while back, traded in my fancy glass server for a thick little diner mug, and it was like a lightbulb went off. The heat stays put, the coffee tastes better for way longer, and I stopped feeling like I had to chug it just to enjoy it warm. It's kind of wild how all the expensive gear can actually mess with the simple pleasure of just sitting with a hot cup. I love that you're finding what works for you, even if it means going back to basics. Sometimes the best upgrades are the ones that cost almost nothing.

Tally counter showed 47 sniffs at the dog park in 15 minutes

47 sniffs in 15 minutes? That's almost a sniff every 20 seconds or so. I just sat and did the math in my head and that sounds exhausting honestly. My golden retriever would probably hit those numbers too but I've never been brave enough to actually track it.

That time I spent $60 on a fancy cheese board and regretted it instantly

Yeah I used to think marble was the way to go but you completely changed my mind on that.
