Took me 6 months to fix a tiny sprinkler leak in my front yard

I had this little wet spot by the sidewalk for almost half a year. Finally dug it up last week and it was just a cheap rubber gasket that cost me $2 at Lowe's. All that water bill pain and grass dying for a stupid O-ring. Has anyone else put off a simple fix way too long?

Dude, I feel this so hard. I had a toilet that ran nonstop for like four months and I just kept jiggling the handle instead of fixing it. Finally took the lid off and the little flapper chain was just twisted up, took me 30 seconds to straighten it out. My water bill was like $80 extra each month and all I had to do was reach into the tank. I still get mad thinking about all the money I flushed down that toilet over a stupid chain.
