Why does nobody mention the mailbox rule for roof shingles in this heat?
I was at the Smith's on Tramway last week and ran into a guy who's been roofing here for 22 years, and he said he keeps a cheap thermometer zip tied to his ladder because shingles get too soft to walk on once it hits about 95. He told me he lost a whole bundle last July because his crew laid them at 2pm and they scuffed up just from stepping on them. Do you all schedule your roof work in the early morning too, or am I the last one to hear about this?
