Figured out 35mm film rebate scanning the hard way
Spent like 5 months trying to get those clean film edge markings in my scans, adjusting holders and tweaking software settings. Finally realized I just needed to stop using the auto exposure feature on my flatbed, took maybe 10 minutes after that. Anyone else waste way too much time on something this simple?
Ngl I just picked one setting and prayed the whole roll would cooperate. Spent half the time squinting at the sky like some kind of weather wizard. Ended up with three underexposed shots of my dog that honestly look like he's haunting the yard.
