Overheard a lab tech say push processing is cheating
I was dropping off rolls at the photo shop in Portland last Saturday and the guy behind the counter told someone that pushing Tri-X is just a crutch for bad metering. Honestly it made me feel weird because I push HP5 to 1600 all the time for indoor stuff without a flash, and I've gotten some of my favorite grainy shots that way. Does anyone else treat pushing as a legit creative choice or am I just being lazy with exposure?
