Dropped $120 on a "premium" anime figure mystery box from a con in Columbus and got 4 keychains and a sticker
The vendor promised at least one scale figure per box and I ended up with duplicates of the same cheap acrylic charm. Anyone know a booth that doesn't pull this at cons, or should I just stick to buying off photos?

Did you pay with a card? If so you can probably do a chargeback since they didn't deliver what they promised. Mystery boxes are kind of a gamble by design but "at least one scale figure" is a straight up claim, not a maybe. Might be more hassle than it's worth for $120 but it's an option nobody thinks about.
