Took me 45 minutes to realize I was watching the dub instead of the sub

I sat through the first three episodes of this new mecha anime wondering why the voices felt off until I checked the settings and facepalmed so hard. Has anyone else wasted way too much time on a simple playback mistake like that?

Work ethic" and "character" over subs vs dubs? Come on, is this really that deep or are people just bored?

Dub or sub, who cares? It's just a different way to watch a show, not a personality trait. People act like choosing one over the other says something about your work ethic or character. I've watched both depending on how much brain power I have left after work. Read an article once that said most people who bash subs never actually tried reading them after a long day. Feels like a fake argument people use to feel superior about cartoons.
