My basil seedlings flopped over after a surprise hailstorm on my 6th floor balcony

Bringing them under a grow light right away was probably what saved them, lol. Seedlings are tougher than people give them credit for as long as the stem ain't snapped clean in half. Had a similar thing with my peppers after a freak windstorm and most bounced back within a week too.

Overheard my coworker say 'fake it till you make it' and it clicked

Exactly. The overthinking part is a trap. You're way better off just diving in and learning by messing up. That lopsided cake? It's a memory, not a failure. Most of the time, "faking it" is really just showing up without a perfect plan and figuring it out as you go.

My team's new AI just wrote 80% of our code for a client project last month

Man, that's impressive but also kind of scary how far these tools have come. It reminds me of how GPS totally changed driving - you used to need to actually know the roads and plan your route, but now everyone just follows the little voice without thinking. Same deal with autocorrect on phones, people stopped learning how to spell properly. I bet in a few years new coders won't really understand databases because they'll just let the AI handle it all. We're basically trading deep knowledge for speed and that's gonna bite us somewhere down the line.

Remember when the old Atlanta Journal-Constitution forums were the main spot for local talk?

The trick with the old AJC boards was you could spot the astroturfers from a mile away. @the_robert mentioned trust, and that's what you'd have - five different people all giving the same mechanic and you just knew it was legit because nobody's that coordinated on a Saturday afternoon.

Unpopular opinion: That fancy smart thermostat killed my furnace

Did the Nest support team help you at all when it started acting up?
