Why does nobody talk about how repetitive isekai has gotten since 2020?
I sat down last monday to watch the new season of that one isekai everyone was hyping. 3 episodes in and it was literally the same plot as the one from 3 years ago. Dude dies, gets reincarnated with cheat skills, builds a harem. I counted 7 shows this month alone that follow that exact formula. Its like the anime industry found a money printer and just stopped trying. Anyone else feel like we need a break from this genre for a while?

lmao dude my buddy literally went on a rant about this exact thing last week. He was telling me how he started watching this new isekai, got like halfway through the first episode, and just turned it off because it was basically the same show he watched two years ago but with a different hair color on the main girl. He said he counted like 4 different "dies from overwork" scenes in one month too. I swear the industry just copies and pastes at this point lol.

Read an article saying some Japanese publishers are literally begging authors to stop writing truck-kun isekai openings... guess nobody listened.
