I spent a full day on a fridge that just needed a new door switch

Got a call for a fridge not cooling, but the light was out too. Spent 8 hours checking the compressor, the board, even the sealed system. The whole time, I'm thinking it's a major job. Turns out the little plastic door switch was just stuck open. A $5 part and 2 minutes to swap it. I felt like a total rookie. Anyone else ever waste half a day on something that simple?
