Just realized those little magnetic parts trays are worth it, lost a screw in a dryer for 45 minutes
I always figured magnets were a gimmick and used a coffee mug for screws when I pulled a dryer apart. Then I dropped a #8 screw down inside a Whirlpool cabrio drum in a customer's garage and spent 45 minutes fishing it out with a bent coat hanger. My buddy handed me one of those $12 magnetic trays from Harbor Freight and I rolled my eyes, but it grabbed every screw on the next job and nothing rolled off the lid. Maybe the mug was the problem the whole time, not me. What are you all using to keep tiny parts from vanishing on a job?
