Spent $150 on a fancy multimeter. Junk.

Paid $150 for a Fluke 117 multimeter last year. Thought it was the gold standard. Then it showed 15 ohms on a dryer thermal fuse that was actually open. Wasted a whole morning. Got a Klein CL600 for like $60 and it's been spot on since. What's your go-to meter?

Used to think Fluke was the ONLY meter worth buying. Your story makes me reconsider that since spending big bucks doesn't always mean you get something reliable. Maybe I'll check out that Klein next time mine acts up.

Yeah theas94, my buddy had a Fluke fail on him mid-job and now he swears by Extech instead.
