TIL leaving some deadwood up high isn't lazy...

I used to clear every bit for a clean look... but birds using it made me rethink. Now I leave safe pieces for wildlife.

Sounds like making a virtue out of necessity. Most birds will nest just fine without us leaving junk up in trees. It's a nice idea but probably gets overthought by people with too much time.

Maybe it's just me, but seeing birds actually use that stuff makes it feel worthwhile.
