Why does nobody talk about how those UV decals just stop working after a few months

Man, I feel your pain. I stuck a whole sheet of those UV decals on my sliding glass door last summer, thinking I was being a hero for the local birds. Fast forward to this spring, and a finch just flew straight through the spot where one used to be, totally faded and useless. Mine got all cloudy and brittle too from the sun, not even clear, just gross looking. I think these things are basically designed to be disposable, like a yearly chore you gotta remember to do. Ended up just buying a roll of those static cling window films instead, the kind that create a patterned grid, and they've held up way better.

I used to think salt in coffee was ridiculous until I tried it on a bet

My third week of keto I was desperate for flavor and dumped a teaspoon of butter into my black coffee on a whim. It turned into this creamy, almost latte-like texture that totally shocked me. Felt wrong the whole time I was pouring it but damn if it didn't make that morning cup way more drinkable.

Hit 50 mason jars collected from thrift stores last weekend

Friend of mine from work, Dave, he got into thrifting jars a few years back. Ended up with like 120 of them crammed in his garage and his wife finally put her foot down. Told him no more jars until he organizes what he's got or builds better shelves. So he spent a whole weekend building these custom racks and sorting jars by size and color, and now he's got this wall that looks like a tiny glass library. Saw a post from @james92 about being one binge away from a hoarder setup and that is basically Dave's story except with way nicer shelves now. He's got herbs, dried peppers, pasta, all his dry goods in matching sets and it honestly looks better than most store displays. He told me the 50 mark is where it starts getting real satisfying but also real easy to go overboard.

Shoutout to the guy in Toledo who told me to try a 3/32 inch blowpipe

Bought a 3/32 inch a few years back after watching some guy on YouTube make bird figurines with it. Ended up using it so much I forgot I even had a 1/4 inch pipe for like six months. But here's the thing, I tried it on a big vase project and the glass just wouldnt get hot enough fast enough, had to switch back mid piece. Now I keep both sizes hanging on the wall, swap em out depending on what I'm doing. Its like having a screwdriver set, you just grab the right tool for the job.

Crossed 1,000 motherboard repairs last month but it was number 873 that I still think about

Honestly that's the kind of moment that makes it all worth it. I once spent four hours talking an old guy through reviving his Commodore 64 from the 80s, and when it finally loaded his kid's old game save file he just sat there quiet for a minute. Didn't ask for any payment either, some things are just about the memories.
