Vent: the one week I actually found good stuff at the swap, and I left it all on the bus
Two unopened tubes of titanium white and a barely-used 24-pack of Prismacolor pencils were sitting in my tote after Tuesday's meetup in Portland, and I watched the driver pull away with all of it still under seat 7 because I was too busy checking my phone to grab my bag.
That's the same energy as me setting down my coffee on the roof of my car, getting in, and driving off. Or the classic "I'll remember it later" and of course you never do. It's like the universe waits for the exact moment you're distracted to hand you something good. I've learned to do the pat down before I stand up, phone in pocket, bag in hand, check the seat. Takes two seconds and saves you a week of cussing yourself out.
