Hot take: was my neighbor rude for correcting my dog at the park, or was I wrong to get mad?
So last Saturday I'm at this dog park in Sacramento with my golden retriever, Moose, and this older guy named Dale starts telling me my dog is too hyper. Moose was just doing zoomies, being a puppy basically, and Dale grabs his collar and says "settle down, boy" in this deep voice. I kinda snapped at him, told him not to touch my dog, and he just shrugged and walked off with his little corgi. Here's the thing though, Moose did calm down after that and sat by me the rest of the time, which never happens. Part of me thinks Dale was way out of line touching a dog that isn't his, you just don't do that. But another part of me wonders if I'm just being sensitive and he was actually helping. My wife says I overreacted, my brother says the guy was lucky he didn't get bit. What do you all think, is it ever okay to correct someone else's dog at the park?
