Spent $40 on a 'dad joke book' and it backfired hard

Man, I just handed my kid the book and let him read it to me instead.

The taco truck down the street raised their prices by $0.50 and people lost it

...and I bet that guy yelling went right back to the truck the next week. Fifty cents isn't exactly the end of the world, it's less than what people pay for a pack of gum. If El Fuego Móvil is still using that spicy green salsa and the same fresh tortillas, they could charge four bucks and I'd still be in line. Some folks just like to complain because they think everything should cost what it did in 1995. Owners have to pay for gas and ingredients too, it's not like they're getting rich. Honestly, if getting mad over a half a dollar makes them feel better, let them yell.

PSA: I used fleece scraps wrong for 6 months and my dog almost choked

Man, that vet story is brutal. I feel for your buddy, nobody wants to learn that lesson with a 1,200 dollar surgery. You're spot on about fleece being bad for real chewers, I've seen the same thing with my own dogs. Even with the best stitching, once they get a grip on that fabric it just stretches out and turns into a mess of strings. Heating the edges sounds like a good trick for some fabrics though, I might have to try that with something tougher.

Warning: Don't start Severance on a Tuesday night like I did

That goat room detail really stuck with me too but nobody talks about how the show is secretly a commentary on how we all put on a "work face" and go home feeling like we lost a few hours of ourselves every single day...

Took me 6 months to try that coffee shop subscription app and now I'm hooked

Oh man, my buddy signed up for one of those apps and it sent him to some random place in a strip mall he'd never even noticed. He ended up loving their Ethiopian roast and now swears by the place, totally out of character for a guy who only drinks Starbucks.
