That layover at O'Hare made me rethink my whole carry-on system

I was stuck for 7 hours in terminal 3 last month and watched like 20 people struggle with bags that were clearly too big for the overhead bins. Then this older guy next to me pulled out this tiny duffel that fit everything he needed for a week. He said 'planes are for moving people not luggage' and it just clicked. I used to bring a roller bag and a backpack and now I'm down to one bag under 20 pounds. Has anyone else had a random stranger change how you pack?

Yeah that airport enlightenment hits different. Now I judge everyone's luggage.

Funny how that works isn't it? Now I watch people trying to stuff a giant duffel into the overhead bin and just shake my head... @the_richard what's the worst luggage sin you've spotted so far? For me it's gotta be the folks with the hard shell suitcases that have one tiny broken wheel, dragging that thing through the terminal like it's a punishment. Everyone learns eventually though, usually after getting stuck behind someone haha.
